Our Beginner Gundog Puppy Classes provide the perfect introduction to gundog training, helping young dogs and their handlers build strong foundations in a fun, friendly, and supportive environment.
Designed for retriever breeds from approximately 16 weeks of age, these classes are ideal for owners who want to develop a strong partnership with their puppy while beginning their gundog training journey using positive, reward-based methods.

Recall
Focus and engagement
Basic obedience
Early retrieving games
As part of the course, each handler will receive personalised feedback halfway through the programme, along with practical advice and guidance on areas to focus on at home.
Whether your goal is to enjoy a well-mannered family companion, work your dog in the shooting field, or progress towards Working Tests and Field Trials, these classes provide the ideal foundation for future success.
Advanced Puppy Training dates

Our Advanced Gundog Puppy Classes are designed for young dogs and handlers who have established the basic foundations and are ready to progress their training.
Dogs should already have a good understanding of heel work, sit and stay, recall and basic retrieving.

Recall and stop whistle
Focus and handler engagement
Building confidence in retrieving
Marked and memory retrieves
Introduction to directional work
Delivery to hand
Halfway through the course, each handler will receive individual feedback on their dog's progress, along with practical advice and exercises to work on at home.
These classes are an ideal progression for handlers looking to develop their dog for the shooting field, Working Tests, future Field Trial training, or simply to take their gundog training to the next level.
